Matthew Blick

I've been creative for as long as I can remember, but art had always taken a back seat during school, as it wasn't a route the academic system favoured. I eventually went to college to study geology and environmental studies, and although I had—and still have—a keen interest in this, it didn't have the spark I wanted in a career choice. I decided to switch onto a graphic design course, which ignited my sidetracked creative passion. By the end of the course, I gained a diploma in graphic design and had accepted an offer to study at the University of Worcester. In 2014, I graduated with a bachelor of arts, with honours, in Graphic Design and Multimedia.

Since graduating, I have worked with large and small organisations, for an agency and for myself. I have also spent my time designing and hand-coding this online portfolio – not a plugin in sight!

In 2018, I relocated from Birmingham, United Kingdom to Melbourne, Australia.

My formula for creativity is to always allow curiousity to take over. Exploring to discover, invent or further, enables me to deliver well-researched, idea-driven work. My works have been featured by many organisations, including AIGA, Behance and Creative Boom.

If there's anything at all that you would like to discuss, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
